A. Economic Cooperation 1. As a follow-up to the 12th VECONAC General
Assembly and 19th SCAP meeting, I have sent
out papers to member countries on fostering
cooperation amongst SMEs.
2. I have also created a Forum page in our website
http://www.safvl.org.sg under VECONAC for
member organisations to increase contacts,
exchange information, look for possible
investments and cooperation in the areas of
production, business and service in every
country. Please visit our website and find out how
you can start and manage your business.
B Women Veterans and 1. I have received inputs from Vietnam, Indonesia,
Dependants Singapore and Thailand. I must congratulate
these countries fior having done so much for their
veterans. However, others must come forward to
share their experiences.
2. Though the response is slow, however I note that
in Asian countries the Women do not like to
come forward and share as compared to
Western countries.
3. We are not asking members to form a separate
programme specifically for the women's group. Its
the same Health and Welfare programme for their
Veterans which is integrated together to look after
the health and welfare of veterans and victims of
war for both men and women. It may be the same
social programme created by your government for
your citizens.
4. Therefore, please increase contact and exchange
information for the benefit of member countries.
